I doubt the question was serious Boj, but good answer. ;)
Hey noob here. I went over the instructions and went through and added all the stuff to the cart but there's one thing that I'm wondering about. (Step 5:
Choose this Modular wiring kit (leave all of the other default selections as-is)--->http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MW...stem-P666.aspx)
I clicked on the link and it just took me to the main page. I don't know whats up with that. It will be a while till I can actually pay for this stuff cuz im still looking around for a job. But which module were u talking about?
Here is the link to the switch that I found neat and want to use. http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/16...itch-P435.aspx I don't know if it will work with the hilt that I picked out.

Big thanks.
you will have to buy the AV switch hole service
http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Ma...hole-P557.aspx
as for your switch make sure you read all of the description "These are large and the only items currently set up to accept them are the Box style 4 and Bezel for illuminated switches" you will need to either use the setup described or pick a short AV switch. if you decide to stay with your AV switch and go with the box do not buy that AV switch service. there is a seperate service specifically for mounting that box http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Bo...vice-P453.aspx
as for the modular wiring system, this thread was started several years ago and that package has been replaced with this one http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Bu...-Kit-P469.aspx
Love this thread - I purchased a saber from another company, and it's great, but then I discovered the possibilities of MHS! So I'm following your steps and I discovered that step 5 appears to be missing. Or rather the link to the mws kit goes to the wrong page or maybe TCSS moved the page or... Help a n00b out? As if you havnt been helpful already ...
This is the modular Wiring Kit LDM was referring to: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Bu...-Kit-P469.aspx
It is not exactly a "Modular Wiring Kit," though since you'll have to do some soldering to use that. In the modular wiring section, there are parts that can replace all of what was in that kit separately: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Mo...ystem-C82.aspx
Updated and current.
Step 5 needs to be updated as all the link gives is the LED module and no battery holder, switch, etc.. sorry for changing it on you..
Does this modular wiring kit come with all the basic electronics that I need? I read the description of the modular wiring kit and it doesn't list a battery pack - but, you didn't say to purchase a battery pack separately, so maybe it does have one? Does it come with the resistor? Does it include the quick-connect? How about an on/off switch?
Everything else you've laid out so carefully and meticulously, including providing VERY HELPFUL and time saving links! So, it seems odd that you wouldn't mention anything about a battery pack, etc., which seems critical for building a basic working light saber - unless, of course, all that IS included in the modular wiring kit.
It's just not clear to me and I want to make sure I've included everything I need in my purchase. Would you please clarify? Thanks!
5 Years ago when the tutorial was written the link in step 5 was to a different product that we no longer carry. The current link is just for the LED module. You still need a battery pack, resistor/buckpuck, switch, etc..
