Guess we'll have to see what works in that time of desparation :D
I definately need to put in a drinking line, maybe some "aquarium like" tubing. :D
Thanks for that link by the way, it saved me some money instead of buying from their website http://www.hometown.aol.com/jedisith...es/thumbup.gif

no prob. hope things work out on your setup. i think i got mine all figured out. if im thirsty, heck i'll shuck the helmet, good time to get fresh air. lol
if i get some pics i will try to get some shots of the suit parts and how i rigged some of it up, ie .. the disconnect for breather and fans and such.

LAN-ED-TUL, I have a question about the voice changer that Trik Toys offers, does the unit sound better than the demo on their web site???
Thanks

actually, yes it does. especially, when you have the helmet on. and as i said, placethe mike somehow, like i made a headgear setup for mine, right at the corner of mouth. that way, you dont have to talk loud and you dont get the hissing sounds through it either when speaking, ie...f's, s's, c's, sounds.
talk with a low tone, and slow like J E J's spoke, and it sounds close. i set my switches to use a and b together and the others are off. so far, without spending a lot on a hyperdynes type setup, this is the cheapest way to go.
i also just now won a cooling vest off ebay to use in the suit.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
its a phase cooling vest. it has 4 pockets. 2 in front and 2 in back. 4 in wide and 12 in long packs. if you wanna cooling vest in your suit, you have to use a phase not a evaporative vest. i did research on this subject and this is what i found out.
so my next thing to do is try on the suit with the vest on, and check the neck clearance again. since thevest will add a tiny bit of height to my shoulders, and therefore, raising the height of the shoulder armor just a bit too. im probably lokkin at havin to take a bitmore off the bottom of the neck. we'll seeonce i try it.

actually dont buy the trik toys unit, after messing with it for some time, i have found it suks, and the same unit can be found at wally world for 5 bucks.

Thanks for the info on the voice box, the demo on the web site doesn't sound that good.

yeah, i heard that demo too and was a lil sceptical. but i realized after i got it, the prob with the demo was the dude used a higher pitched voice talkin into it. if you try to lower your tone as much as you can, and talk with mike in position i said, it comes out pretty good without spending a fortune on a top-o-da- line system.

I got the TrikToyz box, two days ago, and I am NOT at all impressed with it. :(
First of all, the closest it gets to a "Vader" voice is way to low. And the next setting is way high. If that wasn't enough, the unit I got cuts out when speaking in it.
I sent them an email, and they fired back saying "make sure you hold it up to your mouth when speaking..." Like, where the hell am I gonna put it, in my butt?? :)
They did however say I can send it back for exchange. :( I'd rather have a refund :D
The other thing I did not like about it, is there is no amplification. You get a low voice (almost dead on to their websites's demo In My Opinion ) that you can barely hear. The end result I imagine to be like "Spacballs" -Dark Helmet. Or hardware wars -"what, what, are you talking to me?" I can immitate Vader's voice good enough that with the right amplifier, and hopefully a little echo from inside the helmet I can get the right effect. I hope.
I found an amp for public speaking, it's small and wireless, :D the only disheartening thing was, it was just over $100.00! Then add your S&H
After a very extensive web search I found it for $59.00 + S&H :D ....and promptly ordered it!!!

I just got my Trik Toys voice box today and after playing with the settings it works pretty good, but there is room for improvement when I have time I will open it up and see if I can improve the gain of the amplifier and install a volume control then maybe a noise canceling microphone all parts which I have laying around, one advantage to being an electronics tech.

i got one to day and the best i can do is a battle droid sounding voice. if ya blow into it on this setting it sounds like destroyers coming in. i still need to play with it some more. still lookin for a good price on the supreme costume. i do have a supreme helmet but it's autographed so i can't play with it too much. the voice changer i got came in a zip lock bag with no kind of instructions. i thought that was weak[:(]. it still might be fun at least i got battle droids out of it so far[8D]
