Best Method to Cut a Polycarbonate Blade?

Hello from Seattle!

I'm looking for recommendations in how to shorten a TCSS poly blade.

Would a pipe cutter work best? An ordinary miter saw?

I've tried using my heat vision, but the scorch marks are distracting. :sad:

A sharp miter saw with paper towel stuffed in there you’re going to be cutting probably would be the best.

+ 1 to FJK’s suggestion. Make sure you don’t forget the paper towel.

I’ve made the mistake of cutting without something stuffed into the blade and it fills with static polycarbonate dust. Its a real pain to clean out!

if you put a half inch piece of PVC inside it is almost the same OD as the blade's ID and use a pipe cutter. It will be clean and have a nice rounded edge. No dust to worry about.

I second this. It's how I always do it. The edge is nice and clean, no mess to clean up either.
