Cell Battery Confusion

Hey all, it's been awhile since I'v posted. I do have a question in regards to cell phone batteries. The battery pictured is from a HTC MyTouch. I have about 10 of them and would like to wire them in Parallel for a project involving a Blaster Core from Plector Labs. The + and - terminals are self explanatory, but I'm not sure what purpose the two marked in yellow serve. Are they there to run other components of the handset? Or is one set for charging and the other set for discharging?
