CFX No longer recognized in Windows 7

Hey guys,

Last night I was trying to calibrate "Magic" in R.I.C.E. and after the rotation on the various axis I disconnected the saber to test to see if Magic was set up correctly. When I plugged the saber back in, R.I.C.E. would not recognize the port.

I went to the device manager and the com port was no longer there.

I've tried:

reinstalling the adafruit drivers (2.4 and 2.5)
completely uninstalling, restarting the pc with signature enforcement off and reinstalling the drivers
checking the usb cable on another device (yes it's still working)
trying all 5 different ports on my pc (3 USB 2.1 and 2 USB 3.0)
updating the USB drivers
"manually" installing the Adafruit LLC M4 board driver recommended in the CFX manual (just to see if this would trigger a recognition and pairing)

I just can't get that initial "Saber Core X" peripheral or any other related device to show up in the device manager.

Any help would be appreciated
