Welcome to the first annual Help GeneralOsik Build His First Lightsaber Thread!
I should probably start by telling you all what I have in my toolbox already.
1) Master Replicas 616 soundboard
2) PG1A-1LFS (Common Cathode) Red Green Blue LED
3) One small 1 inch speaker
4) Master Replicas 28 inch blade (I intend to replace it with an UltraSabers UltraEdge blade.
I also intend to get an IMS 20mm LED reflector from sandwich shoppe, and a 10mm TO5/TO39 transistor heatsink sleeve plus thermal grease from Maplin to increase the blade intensity. If the blade/LED combo won't work well, please let me know.
As for the hilt, I'm going to get a simple MHS handle. I will put pictures of my ideas up soon.
I am open to all ideas concerning batteries and I welcome constructive criticism.
Thanks to all who read this thread!
Start off simple. Basic MHS sabers aren't hard to make. Then upgrade from there.
Also, Maplin? Do not buy from them!!!!!!!
TALK ABOUT OVER PRICED!!! Trust me on that one!!! ;)
Also, their LEDs are no good for anything other than accents. I'd buy the kit from the store attached to these forums for your first hilt.
I'm assuming that you're either a Brit, or a Paddy, so beware the sting you may get from Customs & excise, but getting the parts from TCSS is the easiest way to get your first saber up & running...
Start with these tutorials. They will get you well on your way.

Might want to save the sound board for your second saber. Thats what I did. Build a basic saber as a stepping stone.
Osik, left a message in your profile. Also, Vargose's links are the perfect ones to start with
