My First Saber: Sentinel
This is the first saber I've built, and I must say that it certainly won't be the last. In fact I'm already working on another one as a birthday present for m'lady. I initially wired this as a direct drive stunt saber, but that lasted all of about a week before I rewired it and added sound. It's nothing to write home about, but I'm really enjoying it.
The specs:
Hilt 4 w/Black Wrinkle PC
Choke 3 w/Flat Black PC
Pommel 3v1 w/Insert 12
Blade Holder 10
White P4 w/2 TCSS color filters
6V 4AAA Battery Solution
Hasbro Econo Board
28" Corbin Style Battle Blade
Custom Blade Plug

Simple. Clean. Nicely done.

Could you post a pic of your blade-plug on its own? I mean, not in the bladeholder?
Great work for a first saber. Good luck on your next one!

Looks good to me, too. Nice accents for a clean, yeoman-like hilt. I'm interested in what your design is for your lady.

Great saber for your first attempt, very simple yet stylish. I like the blade plug, suits the blade holder. I have one of those but could never figure out how to fit a plug that wouldn't just look stupid. Well done. Are you going to attempt s more complex saber for your 2nd one, maybe with accent LEDs?

looks great - really like the yellow blade.

Nice neat saber. Good job.

Ditto some of the comments above. I love the clean and elegant look to this "elegant weapon of a more civilized age." I wouldn't mind seeing your interior setup, as well as a video that might demonstrate the sound that it's got.
Thanks for posting! Love it!

For those who requested here's a better shot of the blade plug by itself. It's pretty basic, much like the rest of the saber. I used two pieces of PVC (1/2" & 3/4") sanded to fit, some spare 18 AWG, some paint, and a small chunk of interestingly shaped glass. And, that's all she wrote.
