I could use some help with the wiring of the switch for the dv6 kit
Simple. There are copper traces running through both sides of your switch holes. Now remember, switches both share a common ground, but the switch legs themselves must be independent. To make the DV6 PCB work, either use a hobby knife or a dremel to cut one side (one side only) of the copper trace. In other words, you want to separate the trace between switches on one side only. THe other side will be your common ground for both switches.
