will the Maglite Conversion from the Saber Shop work with those light protectors?

Hey I have a quick question, Was thinking about building an ultrabudget kit,
maglite + color gel + lens + polycarbonate flourescent light protector tubes as a blade....for a local sparring event thing locally.

would that work out for casual use?
