Costuming Idea
I have an idea for MY Jedi Costume. Above the waist will be the traditional Tunic, Robe, Belt and the same with the Boots. Instead of the Khaki Pants, it will be a Khaki Kilt. I know the traditionalists won't like this idea, But I am not exactly a traditionalist. I am my own person. That said, I would like all opinions. People that like it and the ones that don't.
Addition;
I found a pair of black riding boots.

Going with Khaki Tunic and Kilt, Would black boots look odd?

i like it, but watch out for people with leaf blowers.

Laddie your tunic and tabards would hang low, and depending on how ye wear yer kilt it may look a bit odd. Now when ya say khaki kilt are ye speakin' o' a khaki base tartan or are ye speakin' o' a solid khaki piece o' fabric? Just be cautious of going regimental and doin' flips.

From the pictures Iv'e seen, tunic's range from the hip to mid thigh. Your right though, the tunic's in the films do go to the knee. As for the kilt, I plan on attempting to make a plain khaki 8yd kilt using Duck cloth. A person of Scottish ancestry, I think it is a cool idea. BTW my user name is Gaelic in origin.

I have done a solid black kilt for a ren faire I was working. Pleated it every morning with no guide lines. Depending on your self punishment level you may want to at least stitch the pleats in or stitch in small guide marks to go off of. You should see about making a mini saber for your boot, a sgian-dubh saber... that would rock.
Oh ya my family pedigree is from the Ross Clan.

Ah.. The Great Kilt! I was thinking more along the lines of the Little Kilt. A sgian-dubh saber is a great idea. I thought about a basket hilted saber, but I figuerd it may be klonky.
My ancestry is MacGregor, with a few other small clans.
