i don't want to snap/break it because i want to repurpose the plastic base part, but i hammered out the pins with a punch and the base part will NOT pull out.
is there anything else special i have to do? i have yet to take some pliers to it as i don't want to risk it snapping or cracking. i assumed after i punched the pins out it would simply sleeve out along with the LED string.
