This shouldn't need too much setup or explaining. Something something something friend something something something birthday something something I like to make stuff. This was a very relaxing project in comparison to making the Christmas sabers (http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=9893). It seems I hardly ever take on fun little craft projects for myself (mostly because I'm too lazy to). Anyway, pics!

Oh look, a box! I wonder what it could be...

ACME Corporation? Uh oh. This thing reeks of "QUALITY"...

Oh, it's just an alarm clock.

Now why would you think that shipping or going through customs with this would ever present a problem??

I had alot of fun with the packaging here, especially the "weathering" on the shipping label. It looks really strange and pretty hokey when it's expanded on a computer monitor, but it actually looked worn and stained when it was printed. I was really happy with how that turned out.

It was somewhat surprising to me that she correctly guessed the materials used (down to the PVC and hot glue under the paper wrapping...though I suppose there aren't that many materials I could use to make cylindrical props) and even where I got the clock itself from.

Now that is an awesome gift! Great detail, you'd swear it came right out of a Roadrunner cartoon. Always wondered why Warner Bros never capitalized on selling ACME brand memorabilia since almost everyone recognizes it.

Ditto that - all those great Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons!
