OK, I know there must be some kind of silly trick for this that I'm just not getting.

I'm installing an AV switch into a hilt (going to use a connector to make wiring easier) but how on earth do you tighten that nut for the switch inside the hilt?

I've already wired it up so that its easy to connect / disconnect via the connector, but the nut is not on as securely as I want it to be.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Use a hemostat or thin necked long needle nosed pliers.;)

I use the soldering tool to tighten it with. It has a long reach and is sturdy enough to put a lot of pressure on.

You might need a square washer for the nut to sit flat on too.;-)

using the box style 4 eliminates the use of a nut completely. its like an angel.

but if you are going for flush mount.... have fun. ;)

I'm using the little round bezel. A squre washer inside is a great idea! Thanks for the tips guys, much appreciated.
