total noob question.
i've read on the forum that some people use lee gels in the saber blades?
if so thats great. i work backstage in a theatre and have access to a whole bunch of different gel colours (both lee and rosco brands)
any suggestions for the best colour/s?

Yep, the Lee filters work well. Best results are obtained with the white Seoul P4 LED.

It's mostly trial and error to find colors that you like, but it's most effective with shades of yellow and amber. If you want any of the main blade colors, such as red, green, or blue, you are best to get an LED in that color. Purple is a different animal again. You can get a half-decent magenta with a Lee filter, but to get a nice rich purple, you would have to use such a dense filter that it would seriously dim the blade. If you want a good purple, people have had success with mixing RGB LEDs.

Check out this thread. Lots of pictures of filtered LEDs there.

thanks for the info.
im waiting on a custom job to arrive with a white led and i can get my hands on pretty much the entire range of lee filters at work, so i'll be playing around with some of the colours.
i'll try and post the best ones on this thread for everyone thats interested
