View Full Version : Random hilt part... I need help brothers

Ok people here is the deal. I bought a lot of "custom lightsaber parts" on on eBay. most of the stuff was junk but i did get one part that may actually be useful.

I am thinking of building a close proximity to the Luke ROTJ hilt. Main part of the body is a 1.5 " sink tube so I can just us MHS parts for the pommel.

Whats really gets me is the business end. I have no idea what to use for the emitter/blade holder. I am going to build this to be a stunt saber so I dont have to worry about sound, just the light. The neck on this thing is about 7/8 inch outside diameter. I am basically completely at a loss for what to use so I am opening this up to advice, suggestions and snarky comments :)

one thing to keep in mind, the only machining tools I have at my disposal are my Dremel, a small drill press and a hacksaw and I am working on a limited budget for this.

That looks like an old Park's based hilt.
There are parts available on his site that fit those diameters.
But they're expensive, and slow to ship.

As to how you would do the internals, I'd talk to LDM.
He's done many of these <1" ID hilts.

I majority of the internal cavity its the full open 1.5 inch

I doubt its Parks made but I will check out his site. it just looks like something the guy made on his own.

Okay, I should have said it looks like a Parks inspired hilt.
But in terms of dressing up the outside, I know some of the Saberkit parts fit over a 7/8" OD tube.
And like I said, Talk with Lord Dottore Matto. He's the one to go to for <1" hilt optics.
