broke my Luke ROTJ!

Well, let's start by saying I don't have pics.
Well, I twisted the blade, and I hear something snap.[B)]
It's a Luke RoTJ.[V]
*hears collective groan*
I check the battery-holding compartment, and it seems the niche thing that makes sure the battery pack goes in correctly has wires in it ... Not good, it's broken towards the inside of the saber. Well, I tried to correct the problem, by refitting the plastic thingy back where it was ... No luck. Is there hope for this Luke RoTJ? Or am I screwed forever and ever by my own arrogance ? I was planning on getting this converted but I don't know if I can anymore. Anyone wanna rip it apart for Sabersmithing experience? +50 Sabersmithing points if you can fix it ...[xx(]

Well, whenever a holder for it comes out you should be able to replace that. Now the wires... you might as well open it up and see what you pulled. As long as it's just wires those can always be resoldered.
