I know that this forum is only for lightsabers how to make them , but I would like to say something else about a little friend of mine.
The first time that I saw him, I was and the world premier of Episode III in Lima Peru (my country) Some guy have bought an R2 unit that can follow him, speak and make some other tricks...it was awesome. The first thing that crossed my mind was the price, a droid like that must be very expensive.
Later, after the world premier fever was gone, I searched for this little guy trough the internet and all that I've found was that it was sold out. It was originally released for Episode II premier and it was re-launched for the Episode III. But near those days it was out of stock...
I asked for him with two guys that sell almost every Star Wars item that comes to Peru, and they told me that they would search for it. After two weeks, one of those guys called me. He told me that He had one new and ready to sell and if I'm still interested. Of course the price was high (180$) but after two days of asking for the price in The US and how much will be the cost to send it to Peru I accepted...
I know that Hasbro sucks in lightsaber building but they achieve a great success with the "R2D2 Interactive Astromech Droid"
It is great, not only for me but also for my 2 year old daughter that calls him "robotines"(spanish for little droid). We play with him for hours.
The first time that I saw Episode IV in the movies, I was 6 years old and I dreamed about those droids, ships, lightsabers, the force and everything on it....Nowadays one of my dreams has come true... Thanks Hasbro.
I will put some pics soon
