I know that this forum is only for lightsabers how to make them , but I would like to say something else about a little friend of mine.

The first time that I saw him, I was and the world premier of Episode III in Lima Peru (my country) Some guy have bought an R2 unit that can follow him, speak and make some other tricks...it was awesome. The first thing that crossed my mind was the price, a droid like that must be very expensive.

Later, after the world premier fever was gone, I searched for this little guy trough the internet and all that I've found was that it was sold out. It was originally released for Episode II premier and it was re-launched for the Episode III. But near those days it was out of stock...

I asked for him with two guys that sell almost every Star Wars item that comes to Peru, and they told me that they would search for it. After two weeks, one of those guys called me. He told me that He had one new and ready to sell and if I'm still interested. Of course the price was high (180$) but after two days of asking for the price in The US and how much will be the cost to send it to Peru I accepted...

I know that Hasbro sucks in lightsaber building but they achieve a great success with the "R2D2 Interactive Astromech Droid"
It is great, not only for me but also for my 2 year old daughter that calls him "robotines"(spanish for little droid). We play with him for hours.

The first time that I saw Episode IV in the movies, I was 6 years old and I dreamed about those droids, ships, lightsabers, the force and everything on it....Nowadays one of my dreams has come true... Thanks Hasbro.
I will put some pics soon

Welcome, Luis! I loved this story, about your "nina" and your "robotines"; Star Wars touches yet another family!

Warms the heart...[:D][8D]

You don't need to see any identification.

Welcome Luis!

I was obsessed with R2 as a kid.

I spent hours on the model - then my 2 year old brother tore the legs off it! Broke my heart.

I would also like to build some droids at sometime. Maybe in the future we can work on building some.

Yes we love our R2D2 it is one of the best things Hasbro has made in a long time, we keep him on the Stairway platform to greet visitors. But he is equally fun on a Road Trip, I have taken him on one of the longer trips in my Van, he was the in the C0-Pilot Seat. There are also the a couple of hidden things he does using the remember commands.[:D]

I remember the first time that I watched the movie, I thought that maybe in a long future mi grandsons will see those things in real life, but this R2 makes me wonder if there are any possiblities that Hasbro will make a C3PO soon...I don't know I would probably be daydreaming...

Hey!, Hasbro creative guys! That's the idea, all you have to do is put some work on it...

Just go visit one of your local Droid dealer ships and talk to the short Jawa driving around on the golf cart. He'll get you a good deal on a droid.

My local Dealer has a buy 1 get 1 half off deal going on.
The lil fat Jawa there told me he'd throw in one of there guns if I bought from him.

You can see it in front of the paper. It's probably over a foot wide. It's not full size.
