One thing here that really interests me is the use of 7/8" blades. It may be something of an obvious question, but how do they look? It's funny how often I'll be thinking about something, then come on here and see that someone's just done it. This is one of those moments.

I ask how they look, because I'm used to 3/4" blades, so 1" blades just look a little "fat" to me. That's why I'd be interested to see a 7/8" blade - especially with a 1" and a 3/4" next to it. I guess I'll just have to make one :rolleyes:.

To me, 7/8" is the best sized blade (looks the most realistic too). They are like a girl with just the right curves,;)

I have been using them in my saberkit mkIII conversions for a while and love them.

just an apprentice machinist POV here. master machininst? i dunno....... my college professor and Internship master (he is giving me an internship at his shop in 14 days because he likes my work) can give acer a run for his money. im not saying acer is bad. heck no. he does great work. im just saying i would like to see ACER and My master do a machine face off.

lets look at it this way:

Acer can can gets part very beautiffy and proffessionally done and accurate on his CNC machines. to within .0001 of an inch. hes a senior machininst and has done it all his life. and has gone through some serious study to work CNC. (they are complicated folks really;))

my master Mr Delgato how ever. is 65 years old has machined since he was tall enough to and can get similar accuracy under a manual machine Lathe and mill under a microscope. he used to turn things down on a manual lathe that would fit INSIDE a surgical needle. lol. plus he can run cnc machines to. he has like a bunch in his shop.

so once again just an machine apprentice POV here. not dissing on anyone. ;)

What makes you think he has never or lacks ANY skill using a manual lathe/mill.

How do you knwo Ace hasnt been doing all "HIS" life? since he was tall enough too?

Great job on these guys. It's spot on accurate. There is no debating that this is a perfect Yun saber. The chasis and blade retention are truly innovative. There is no one on this forum or on God's green earth that could've done a Yun saber better.

One thing I know... this is MY THREAD SO EVERYONE QUIT HIJACKING IT! :( This saber is an EPIC 100% accurate replica prop and is easily one of the premier saber runs ever executed not only in its overall design, but in it's fit and finish as well. Lets stick to discussing the run please.;)

C'mon, son! Go to the first post in this thread. There's a link to the thread on FX where LDM describes the origin of the saber.

These are beautiful in design, and well executed. Absolutely perfect! I wish I could have got in on this run, but money didn't allow. Maybe next time.

Its Dark Jedi Yun from the one of the Dark forces/Jedi knight games.

Yun, a Dark Jedi and a hechman for Jeric was killed by Sarriss. He was defending the right of battle for the newly realized Jedi, Kyle Kataran. Kyle then defeated Sarris and acquired Yun's saber for his own. ;)
