KOTOR Saber design

I used the search feature first and found nothing, so be gentle...

I own both KOTOR and KOTOR II (Knights of the old republic) for xbox. Since I've been fairly busy at work, I started playing again in my freetime, and hense haven't been on here as much, but I was wondering this: does anyone have a close up view of one of the lightsabers from that game? I know its a fairly simple design but its something I'd like to attempt.

I'll be drawing one myself I just wanted to see if anyone else already did it.

That's great idea.
I've also been inspired by those games. I haven't tried duplicating the outside designs... but I have tried dressing up the "guts" of the saber to look cool. I've tried mounting crystals inside the saber and machining cool parts that look something like the parts and upgrades from the game. Here's a few pics from 3 different sabers...

www.thelightsaber.com usually has views of all the sabers and has some if not all of them I believe. Unfortunatly their limited by the game which only renders them so well.

I am a fan of the designs from the game as well, pretty simple. The hilts seem to be a tad longer than what you'd see in the movies - maybe just my imagination - but it reminds me somewhat of a katana handle, being rather long.

I am guessing that they are meant to be a perfectly round cylinder, but due to rendering limitations they just made them pentagonal, which actually looks kind of neat and might be a fun thing to try.

Anyhow, the basic design doesn't look too different from what you could do with MHS components. The one I'm working on now is meant to look something like one of these. Good luck and let us know how it comes out!

I keep saying I am going to get xwing to do a good job of the Bastila saberstaff but I am lazy dawg. This is a version I did in paint using the capture that is used for wallpapers and such.

This is related, folks, but it's in a different game. I didn't see the need to start an entirely new thread...
Does anyone have any good pics of the "Arbiter" (sp?) hilt from Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy? I mean, the medicine in my glasses is fairly weak, and I'm trying my best to make out the blurry pic in the instruction manual, and the x-box selection screen is kinda small (no, i haven't upgraded to plasma yet), so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, X...I'm still squinting from drawing it over my printout from the MHS Builder (multi-purposed, that!), but, if'n all goes well, and I can get clear shots of the Obverse and Reverse (ooh, S.A.T. rearing its head again!) of the hilt, I'll have one of the hottest (imho[:D]) 'sabers in existence.

That is, if I can get the clear shots...
