Now that TCSS has makototsai LEDs back in stock. It seems very appropriate that I show off what they can be used for: LED-string blades. It's not difficult to make an LED-string blade, it's actually very easy... it just takes a little more time and that TRUE DIY spirit ;)

The hilt was interpreted, and designed by Jonitus, custom machined MHS parts by ArmonFire. I finished it and installed the electronics

Specs:
- Dual LED-string blades (Short: 22")
- Anakin/Yoda boards
- 2x 18650s (1 per board)
- Single SPST AV momentary (gold)
- Recharge port
- Custom hilt by Jonitus, ArmonFire, and me

See how Maul's blade ignites one at a time? Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqydT7h3ZJE

That was the goal. A little funky wiring and 'biziddy'... done.

Here it is compared to a Lux III red:

WOW! thats why I love LED string blades. very nicely done! I also like how you set it up to where the blades activate one after the other instead of at the same time. Well done! :D

Great job eastern. Did you use a delay on make relay for the start up effect?

Wow that was really cool! I've been thinking about making a double bladed saber and this makes me want to do it even more! Well done!

Thanks all! I've made a lot of LED-strings, and it's always a plesant surprise... I get lazy sometimes too, but I LOVE the way they look.

And YES, the makototsai blades are brighter than luxIIIs.

Nope. I used the segment pins on one board as the activation connections for the other board. ;)
