oh, um... well there's lowes online. :) Just kidding.;)

I would google what you're looking for in the shopping section. then narrow down a store that has everything you need.

i did a search earlier for the plastic discs with less then promising results to say the least. same with the threaded rod. and how would i know what size tube fits the threaded rod to look up?

Threaded rod? Or threaded tubing?

I have found some 6-32 threaded rod and some brass tubing that slides over it at my local Ace hardware. I have also gotten some small brass rod and threaded it myself with a tap and die set.

the brass or steel rod is just to slide over the 4-40 threaded rod

its to make a custom chasis for my graflex

Check eBay. I've seen threaded rod in all sizes and configurations there.

As for disks, I recently bought one of those thin white cutting boards at the dollar store, and cut circles out of it to use in a chassis. For $1, you could make about 50 disks. Sometimes, you can even find them in different colors.

my dremil-fu is not as strong as yours yet obi-dar. working on it though. but cutting circle discs out of plastic cutting board is out of my skill range...they would turn out oddly shaped im sure lol
where did you get the ones you used for your chamber you did before? i believe it was on your starkiller lightsaber i seen it.

They were just steel washers I got at the hardware store.

Canadian tire has brass rods that can be threaded.

As for dremel-fu...it's not that hard. Just draw a circle and do the rough cut with a rotary tool, and round it on a belt sander or grinding wheel.

I've been using a handheld belt sander mounted on clamp upside down and you'd be surprised at the shapes you can make with it. S-curve shrouds are too easy on it. One end of it is a rounded edged and the other has a surface you can rest your hand or piece against to keep it steady.

That is what I love about this site. If you look hard enough you will find all sorts of ideas that other people have come up with for saber parts. Thanks for the tip Obi-Dar, I will be making a trip to the dollar store today.

You can also find most of that stuff at Home Hardware and Rona. However, the dollar store cutting board idea is awesome. I'll be sure to hit up Dollarama next time I'm in town.
