Can the luxeon V's be used in an MR conversion?

Not really..for 2 main reasons.

1. Not enough coolign with everything jammed in there
2. Not enough voltage to power the LED unless you rewired a 6 battery setup.

But it is possible say if a hooked up a small fan and used a battery back from a mace for example or a 9 volt with the speaker hooked up to it.

HMMM...A 5W White Mace FX w/ purple disc. Sounds about perfect, only other thing would be to get BMF engraved on the hilt[8D]

Well, if you want to gut the saber and find a way to make it all fit back then it is certainly possible. I haven't been able to find any fans that are actually that small. They're all square so they wouldn't fit.

A better option if you want Mace purple would be the white K2 which puts out 120 lumens (same as the 5W) yet doesn't have all of these problems.

I have been tossing around a K2, Lux III, or Do-Clo's UV setup. My biggest problem is that I have 5 different saber projects going on plus a house remodel and school, by the time I get around to the Mace they will either have the next generation of LED's or the K2 will be on a star[;)]

Funny thing is if I ever get the Mace done that will possibly be my saber at least untill I do a custom for myself.
