Question on battery holder?

Would I be able to have a SPST Latching Guarded switch on a 5 inch MHS extension if I had the 4AA battery and sound combo, I mean will the battery holder fit past the switch?

yeah the guarded and av style switches are pretty much a road block, you're not getting anything but wire or something pencil thin past it.

Also you would not use a latching switch with the sound combo.
