Well here they are. Why two you ask? These are designed after the samurai daisho. That is what they called the two swords that were carried. A longer blade called the katana and the shorter called the wakazashi. They were used seperately or in tandem, depending on the circumstances. Nothing fancy here. Just simple MHS parts with LUX III ambers.

Well after a long time, I worked on these sabers again recently. I always wanted the holes in the top of the emitters to light up so I got out my dremel and some small cutting discs and got to work. Here are the results.

It's kinda hard to see it on camera due to the light reflecting from the blade, and I don't have a blade plug, so I stuck a small led flashlight I had inside the blade holder so you can see it light up better.

LOL they don't make blades that small!

Well, on to the next challenge. Jamming sound into that small hilt! Only 5 1/4 inches of space between the switch and the pommel. This should be fun..

That's what hacksaws are for.

Nice hilts btw.

Yeah but I think that would be a tad impractical.. no matter how much fun it would be.

True dat... but in a comedic Star Wars fan film, a lightsaber dagger/tanto fight, using full size hilts wielded with both hands, could be quite hilarious... but perhaps I've said too much.

Nice look, I am still awaiting parts to make a Vader and Mini-Vader (2 cell tube) pair like that.

BTW YOU can make any blade size you wish. You certainly seem capable based on the sabers.

Nice work!

Thanks DX. I can't take all the credit though. These are all basic MHS parts. All I did was drill a few holes (24 I think) and screw them together. I don't have much experience with or access to machine work equipment so I will be a challenge to do anything more unique than these..

Actually I've got a 10" blade made out of a scrap of colored polyc that I cut off of a full blade. It's actually really fun to swing around!
It's sort of like an assassin saber. :D

Oh boy. Y'all keep talking about it and I'm going to end up doing it!

Here's a "Light Dagger" that I made a while back.

The handle is just enough to wrap your hand around, and the blade is 21". It's the kind of thing I imagine a gray Jedi carrying in his boot as a backup or surprise for his opponent. It's kind of fun to swing around, but there's no way to put sound in it. There's just not enough room.

Looks good. I'd have to go shorter because my short saber has a 26 inch blade. Technically a tantoblade would be around 9 or 10 inches. I could extend it in comparison to the other sabers since the blades on them are a bit longer than the average katana and wakizashi..

Pretty good.. 4 months and 6 sabers ago. Lol. Now they mostly just sit on their stands collecting dust. I was bored the other day waiting on parts that I needed for another saber, so I decided to dust them off and do that little mod. Was pretty fun though. Burned the crap out of my hand when I didn't give the blade holder enough time to cool.. :p
