I am trying to build my first LED saber. I have figured out that i want a red blade and a fairly clean hilt. but when it comes to wiring i have no idea what to do. I have decided to go with a Luxeon III Red Kit. This is the list.

* 4AA Battery holder
* Red
* Collimator Lens 10° viewing angle
* BuckPuck 1000mA 4-wire
* Push on/push off switch with black button
* Luxeon III/V Lens Holder

Now my question is is there a way to incorporate 2 accent LED's and a kill switch into this without Wrecking anything?:confused: The kill switch is just a toggle switch hidden in the pommel.

Thanks,

I sense that you need to do more reading. Lots more.

A kill switch is easy, just put it on one of the wires coming from the battery pack, like any switch.

For the accent LEDs, there's a resistor chart on the main Store page. Just choose Accent LED from the drop down menu, chose your battery voltage, then click on Find Resistor. It will even give you a wiring diagram. Just do this twice for 2 accent LED.

Put them in the circuit before the buck puck.

And, have you read this thread yet?

Thanks for telling me about the Charts.

The forum that you posted doesn't help because I'm doing mine from sink tubes.

Well, you didn't say that in your first post.

I thought maybe you just hadn't decided what MHS parts you wanted to get yet.

There's still some good info in those threads.
