...and away we go!

Here she is, the pig we all now know as the Hfx Dooku. I would, first and foremost lieke to thank Grayven for his dis-assembly consult! The conversion was difficult (the curve does not help) and the BH & hilt have to be heavily modified, but in the end it came out solid and relatively nice. Re-attaching the grips is no walk in the park either! It has a Seoul P4 Red (duh!) and an aluminum BH w/copper heatsink. Enjoy!

BTW, be sure to watch for Gravy's US 1.1 Dooku conversion coming very soon!

You know I was thinking, I might just do this as a standard conversion DR. I think Bane/RB is right the US1 would be a waist for this saber. I'll use the US1 for the curved Darth Bane I'm going to sell.
I'll rap my conversion up tonight as a standard.
Did you get Tim the Length on the BH and tell him what we used?
Or do you think it's worth even making a Dooku BH because of all the other conversion requirements?
I know LDM already said it but I'll say it again. This is not a simple conversion and requires a few different tools that not most might have.

IMO this is not going to be a widely DIY converted saber because of the power tool requirements. Unless, TCSS comes up with an ingenious way to get around the emitter problem. Gravy, see my post at JSS about what I did with the BH (no cutting necessary).

48 hours? I thought you'd have these done in 24? :D

Seriously, though, great work. Does the saber have a covertec wheel on it?

Does the saber have a covertec wheel on it?
I believe it does. But it would be on the side you don't see, in LDM's pics, since Dooku carried it on his left hip with the pommel side to the front.

Mine does that too...is yours a Kodak, by any chance? Mine is a z612....it has a noisy set of gears or something that runs the auto focus.
