I was poking around Mouser and ran in to some interesting finds.... (Even though Mouser didn't have most of them in stock.) I posted a different thread as these may be of interest for many other types of LED than the LedEngin ones.

This one is a small (11MM) parabolic reflector... 5 degree for the Rebel. (3 would fit in a 25MM circle I think)

The same company also has some self adhesive backed lenses for a couple of products. (Rebel, etc)

Finally, what I was able to find and order from Mouser for some testing purposes was..

And a 10W RGBA LedEngin LED.

Yay toys!

Very nice finds! That tiny Rebel reflector has caught my eye... that could seriously help with Saber Kit Obi conversions.

Thanks for sharing!

I know.. I was all jazzed until I found out I couldn't actually order it from that vendor. I'll let you know if I track down a place you can really buy them, LOL.

Great find. Those LEDEngin 10W RGBAs work great.

hi guys saw this (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=174089) and thought I would share it. If you scroll down you'll see where don tried to make a 3xR as he calls it into a 1" flower to fit in a flashlight. he scraped the the 1.5 in aluminum he started with. In my search though I came across this (http://theledguy.chainreactionweb.com/product_info.php?products_id=738&osCsid=9f070e92d5825168590bce696c897bf8).Its an 8mm reflector for rebels. I will be watching this thread to see how your guys 3xR 10mm work out. However someone might want to try the 8mm in a triangle.

Interesting, I may have a Saber Kit Obi-Wan conversion coming up that could benefit from this. I do believe for Tri-Rebels those Cree MC-E Optics could solve that to, its all about fitting them under one lens and the wider the opening the better.

None of the ones I ordered were really suitable for use with the LEDEngive 10W LED's. But... here's yet another.....

14 degree reflector... designed for the LEDEngin 10W LED's.

I have 4 on the way.
It's the "Boomerang" reflector in the LEDEngin section.

Also of note... LedEngin recently came out with an RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) setup which could be interesting as well.

So far, this one looks "OK".

The color blending is decent, the focus is OK but not great. (The beam isn't very tight, but much better than with no optic.) In general, you get a wider beam but better blending than using a hacked together K2 optic and holder.

The beam you do get is nice and even, too. (Not much of a "hot spot".

It's about 1MM too tall to fit the MHS without a little modifcation. I think you could probably just "screw it down" and make it fit... it would stress the optic some but would probably work.

Alternatley, you could sand down the top of the optic a bit, or (My choice, as I have a lathe) just take a little bit off the top of the optic socket on the MHS bladeholder.
