Hey guys I was wonder waht do you guys put into your sabers to stop everything from rattling around in there? I was thinking of using some of that foam that comes with computer parts, but I don't know where to get any...and I can't buy a new motherboard just for the foam lol!

I get bubble wrap. When it gets flat I just cut another piece.
Cheap, cheap[:D]
Edit- I also use an O-ring to help keep the battery pack from sliding around.
You can get bubble wrap at Office Depot and all the other like it, Wally World, etc...

The only thing that I secure is the battery pack. I just wrapped a thin piece of cardboard around it, with some electrical tape.

I use foam strips that that are used to fill the gap around window air conditioner units to pack the battery, for the sound board I use a piece of pvc pipe that will slide inside the hilt and hot glue the sound board inside it then I secure it to the hilt with a couple screws from the outside.

The KISS rule? Whats that? Make sure your tongue can touch your chin? Ok corny but I'm in that kind of mood.
I am using Corbins board too so I need to secure it good. Thats my main concern, I don't want to have it bouncing around in there.

I plan on shaving down a pool noodle, then cutting little boxes in it to house the electronics.

that thick foam door tape they sell at home depot works good too, just cut two pieces the length of the battery pack & attach on the sides where the batteries are exposed. wrap a few times with duct tape & yer all set.

I use Heat Shrink around the circut boards and then rubber washers between each component to shock dampen them.[:)]

I found some packing foam at work around the time I built my saber- it's not as stiff as styrofoam-more like a pool noodle in density & flexibility. If I can find a consumer outlet for the stuff, I'll post it- it works great![8D]

wow, i must be the most complicated person here. i made an thing out of pvc, i made a cut-out part that the batteries attach too, right above the batteries is a place for the switch to attach to, then more cut-outs for the inverters, then i attched a pvc endcap to hold the audio jack. anytime i need to work on the electronics, i just take off the pommel and pull everything out at once.
