First of all, English is not my native language so please forgive if I'm not making myself clear when asking some specific questions, I'll do my best to try to traslante what I want from Spanish.
I just got my kit and I'm very exited about it now I have the first question
What kind of wire should I use to connect the luxeon ?
I have been reading but I'm not sure about it, should I use
22 http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Assets/ProductImages/22gwire_t.jpg or 18 http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Assets/ProductImages/18gwire_t.jpg (Im trying to convert an MR FX)

Second question
I have been checking the tutorial but I just can't find where to use these 2 parts

Sorry about posting so many pics but I think this is the best way to post my questions without writing something wrong.

Thanx in advance for all the help you can give me.

wire gauge should not matter 22 would be better for saving space I use 18 and that is fine too
the two pieces you have the lens and the lens holder go together and set on the lux star to focus the light up the blade hope this helps

I find the thinner the wire the more likely it is to pull apart from solder or snap. I use 26 guage which does take up more room but is more solid.

Like Darth said the lens holder sits on top of the heatsink and over the LED, the lens goes in the holder. This Pic may help.

Take care when screwing down the blade holder as it can crush the lens/holder.

Actually, 26 gauge wire is pretty thin. The larger the number, the smaller in diameter the wire is.

18 gauge is kind of thick to use on the LED IMO.

Thanx everyone!!
Just to check if I´m getting it rigth
The sequence will be
heatsink - luxeon - holder - lens
Is that it?
I´ll go find some wire and hope to start working on it tonite.

That is correct.

And your English is better than some people's who it's native to.

Ah well the wire I use is quite thick and it had 26 on the packet and the guy at maplins said the number referred to the guage. Either way, I use thicker wire as thin wire seems to break quite easily. Maybe I'm just a bit rough when putting these things together.

Looks good. Are you convirtng the vader simply to luxeon or upgrading it in any way?

When I took apart my vader I accidentally snapped the wires from the board to the switch. Make sure you take apart the clamp first and cut the wires as close to the switch as possible or you'll be having to add wire which is more hassle.

Have you read this? If not you should, pay special attention to the wire bundle and the wiring for the clash sensor.
