Cool design, but do you realize that it will be at least 15-16" long? Long sabers can be cool and give great holding power while dueling, but they sure are heavy on your belt and tend to swing more when you move (make sure you wear a cup). Another positive is that there will be plenty of room for electronics. I like the look of the polished aluminium, but I would break up the monotony with some powdercoating to create depth or use O-rings between the sections to create a finished look. If you want to use some of the TCSS speaker/battery combo mounts, you will have trouble since the ribbed sections have a smaller inner diameter than the double female extensions. If so, you might think about switching the pommel-end ribbed section for something like this
http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/5-Double-female-threaded-connector--P124.aspx
or maybe a longer or shorter version. Also think about how you will mount it to your belt (where to put Covertec wheel or D-ring, etc).
Still, I very much like the simplicity and the use of the #2 blade holder. The simple blade holders aren't used enough.

Its not that long! its only about 12"-13". Im working on a similar saber but with the ribbed extensions.

But Hideous is right about the speaker mount, they wont fit in ribbed/v-grooved sections. I had to dremel my speaker mount so it would fit in.

12 1/2" isn't bad. My longest saber is 13 1/2" and I like it just fine.. if you think THAT'S big you should see my next build..

Are you going to have any type of overlay?

It looks rather plain to me, but if that is what you were going for, you nailed it.

Yeah... I can't really make out the overlay. But if you like it... its great!
I think this one needs FX sound.

I think this one needs FX sound.

The only over lay I have on it is the emitter part I need to re-think the hilts overlay so as of right now its just 80% done and I might go eco sound for now once I make the iner chassy or I might just do the crystal chamber and leave room for sound later you know. And thank you for your commets and input not just to you but to all who have helped me on this forum

Whats keeping the overlays on? And I've yet to see a switch, is it in the central section?

Crystal Chambers

Yeah man what's with the tape? Don't you know you're supposed to use hot glue?...just kidding, I use tape for doing mock ups to make sure things fit right before mounting them too.

The switch is will be there dont worry Skott I was thinking
maybe in the pommle but thats why its only 70% done
next comes the mounting of the overlays then the inerds
and then the ignition of the blade thus makeing it 100% done

Sure is an interesting built. Is that black leather wrapped around the hilt, and tacked on? Oh, and why didn't you use an illuminated switch with that box?
