an empty MR hilt can go from $20 to $60 dollars on ebay depending on which one it is (these numbers are based on ones that had watched myself)

It is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it.

Do-Clo is absolutely right. If you are looking to buy one, then your budget preference will decide how much you are willing to spend.

the MR hilt does not come with a crystal chamber, but you could put one in yourself. Just follow your creative senses and look up how others have done them.

A crystal chamber would be kind of pointless for a display piece unless you could see it though. Maybe if you were doing a "cut-away" display version.

Or if you had it modded to separate at the middle with a crystal chassis inside...but unlike a Graflex where the 2 piece & clamp make a crystal chassis easy, modding a MR Mace FX hilt to come apart and incorporate a crystal chassis would be very 'advanced' build imo. I'd love to see one of the Master smiths with 'mad skilz' here try it, but I couldnt do it myself.

Now that I've said that, I expect one of them to point out they already did it...the talent of smiths here amazes me...:-)

Chassis would be easy, just have them connected to the pommel and slide it out.
