Hi ALL

I have done a very rough schematic outlining how I was thinking I could add and extra AV led Switch and Binary Coded Switch to a joe jedi board. I have looked at the other schematics and work done on the boards and think I have it right.

Would love those who would know to tell me if this will work.

Oh and as an afterthought will I need to add a resistor to the Red + to get purple from the binary switch?

Here is the schematic

Just so you know what is going on between the led and the BCD Switch. I was under the impression that all the wires (except the yellow for the motion sensor) went to one of the solder plates and then the brown went from that same plate to the negatives on the LED in relay. The Red, Blue and Green on the BCD then are wired to the positive Red Blue and Greeen on the LED

Took 30 seconds to find using the search function.

here is all the info you will need:

Thanks for the input Kal but I watched these 3 months ago. Grayven doesn't use a Binary coded switch, he uses a dip switch, and though I understand the theory behind what he's demonstrating, he doesn't explain the wiring of the led, just the dip switch.

I was hoping for some better input than read this link because believe me no one will point out a link regarding 616 boards than I've not read at this point. I have been keeping an eye on both Rhyens and Matts dealings with the 616 which are closest to what I want to achieve. The set-up I want to use is a variation of the scematic that can be seen in the new wirinig diagrams and resistor chart sections. But the wiring of the BCD and LED I am unsure of.

I need a little confirmation on my scematic.

The link that Kal gave you is very helpful. You will probably want to use a seperate driver for the LED instead of using the one on the card. It doesn't put out enough current to power most of the LEDs we use. I have wired a 616 up with a buck puck and a 10W LEDEngin RGBA LED and I also added a switch to select which sound you want. In this set up, the power down sound is very iffy unless you add a capacitor like in the thread Kal linked.

Thanks Kal-Rhyen

Again I have seen all these diagrams and I'm not seeing how the board fits into these.

Can I assume that the Brown in the original wire bundle on the board is the negative to the battery and that the Red Blue and Green are the positives. So if I wire from the board to the BCD and from the BCD to the led, in theory this would then work, right?

See new diagram.

I'm using the original LED and only want the sith sound to function so will not need a second sliding switch.
