Very nice design. Doesn't look like PVC. I've considered making one.

Were you able to use a 1.25" sink tube blade holder, or did you just use the PVC? Also, I've never used a Lux 1, do you need a heat sink?

I just used the PVC, though I will probably neeed to wrap a layer of tape on the end of the blade so it stops wiggling...

The LUX I LEDs don't need a heatsink, just and optics assembly to hold it in place.

I forgot to Thank LDM for the switch Idea... Thanks LDM!!!

Hey, by the end of November you may be seen' TEN more!!!! (not kidding)

Thanks for all the Great feedback Guys. If anyone is planning on making a PVC saber I would HIGHLY reccomend that you use a electric sander!
It will make your cuts looks so much crisper if all you have to work with is a Dremel to cut.

Can you elaborate on the kind of electric sander you used. There seem to be a couple of different types.

Thanks!

It was just a handheld Ryobi sander. It has the interchangeable battery so.. yeah, nothing fancy.:)

I dueled with it recently and will have to add 4 screws instead of just two on each coupler...

Very impressive...for a PVC saber. :) I like the design. Having two matching sabers... must feel nice when your holding them both

in the post above me the whole son of the sun's thing was proven not to exist by the force cast a while back. they emailed or called or something skywalker ranch. but it is still very cool.

any way back on topic. i love those sabers, and no they do not look like PVC at all. also the color on the hilt looks very sick as well. it gives it a great look.

i literally do have about TEN or more PVC sabers sitting around with no electronics. am thinking hard about wiring some of them up. some are unpainted, i may go with these paint schemes.....

very nice!

sons of the suns, despite the 'meaning', is a website wear you can find a ton of info on all things Anakin related especially costuming and info on sourcing parts.
Go to www.sonsofthesuns.com and check it out... the forum is wear you will find all the info. My username on that forum is darkside. It was already taken on this forum. This forum is pretty much the only one that I am not know as darkside.
On the Son of the Suns from Wiki:

"Sons of Suns" is a reference to a prophecy that was included in an earlier draft of the script that eventually became Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

"…And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as THE SON OF THE SUNS."
―Journal of the Whills, 3:127

Despite popular belief, the prophecy had not appeared in a canonical work up until this point and has no link to the Skywalker family or the Chosen One prophecy.

There were also speculations that the phrase could be heard in Episodes I and IV at the ending celebrations coming from the crowds, but this was proven to be false:
