So I've been lurking here for a few days and I think I'm about ready to dive into the more focused lightsaber building areas (electronics, blades, etc). My very first saber was made out of a pop-up sink drain and an extension tube. It's not all that great, but it's ok for a first run.
I'm planning on building a more intricate saber this time, and I've listed the parts here to make sure I've got everything. Keep in mind, I'm only buying the blade assembly parts from TCSS. It looks like everything else will be from Lowe's.
So, how does it look? Am I missing anything important?
LOWES
Carlon 1-1/4" x 10' Rigid Schedule-40 PVC Conduit
Carlon 1" PVC Conduit Coupling
Carlon 1" PVC End Cap
Plumb Pak 1-1/2" x 6" Sink Tail Piece
TCSS
Luxeon III Kit (Royal Blue)
1" x 40" Thick-Walled PolyC
Shouldered 1" Thick-Walled Blade Tip w/ Reflective Disc
Luxeon Star Heatsink (Thanks, Loreen)
2x 4-40 Nylon Screw (Thanks, Loreen)
And of course, some sort of diffusing material (cellophane wrapping paper, etc)...
