Hey Everyone! :D

We were commissioned by FX member GmLumpy to install electronics and make a crystal chamber for an MHS saber that he was ordering. He had a 616 board that he wanted run in conjunction with a Corbin Driver, and the sound font selector switch to be accessable (Thanks to Gravy for the help!). Well, I got really into this build. I could have made an easy crystal chamber, but thats not our style. I custom machined a crystal holder similar to the one we used on the MachinedFX Starkiller. Only this one had to be a little thicker than an MHS heatsink ( 7/32 to be exact) so that it would be sandwiched tight by the MHS windowed piece. Since I was making something for the crystal that is held securely, like the Starkiller, I also used this piece to hold the chassis for the sound and driver boards. For the switching situation, I used one of our custom designed boxes from AOF (Randy!) and milled out a slot for the DPDT slider for the sound font selector and used a green lighted DPDT Anti-Vandal switch to run the two boards (No need for the diode fix when you use the Corbin Driver). Here are the specs:

MHS 17" hilt with custom lathing to accent the switch box
Custom machined aluminum crystal holder and chassis
1.5" long Natural Quartz crystal
Corbin Driver and MR 616 board
Seoul P4 Blue
4.8v Ni-Mh battery pack with recharge port in hilt
Premium Speaker
T-Grips
One Green and one Red accent leds
36" Dual Diffused Thinwalled showblade

Dang, that is a long saber, fender. But I likey though. Any sort of saber that has a quartz crystal in it is awesome.

Im very impressed with your handy work but i think the real beauty was putting in the slide switch and milling in the acitvation box... *5 stars* great job :)
