Hey, the forums have tons of information here, a good place to start off is reading this thread:
LDM's MHS Saber Basics Guide (http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=6430)
Lord Maul has two good step by step guides on the assembly, depending on if you use a buckpuck or resistor. I'll link to the buckpuck one for you.
LM's Tutorial for LED saber (http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=7290)
There is a ton of material you can read through to get a better idea on how all these things go together and work. I cannot stress enough the value of reading, practically every question has been answered in these forums.
For definitions go here: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=6524
We even have a thread linking to all the very important threads. Check it out here: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=553
I suggest reading a lot from the threads in the Tutorials section to start off.
Once you get a better understanding of how the things work, you can start using the search feature to find answers to some less common questions.
Good luck with your saber building.
