Just use a set screw and screw in the blade into the holder before you put it into the hilt, then it is hidden beneath the hilt.

NIce. The latest pics look great.

In a previous pic you painted it like a V2 but it's a V1. With so many V2s around a V1 would be a nice change.

The blue p4 and trans blade look really good.

Now get a move on Lestat I know you have forever, but we don't....;)

Now get a move on Lestat I know you have forever, but we don't....;)

haha... i knew some on was going to point out how LONG this is takeing. i live in australia and it taks some time to get parts shiped. and talking my wife into paying for them so um yeah.

i do have the ESB Luke clamp to go on this saber but im gonna leave it as is me thinks.

Crystal Chambers i feel the same way im not gonna paint the saber again
i painted it 3 times and its just a pain so it is what it is. i think im gonna paint or sand down the plastic on the controll box but idk

im sorry but im not that good when it comes to saber building. it seams every time i fix something on a saber another breaks. i get maybe 1hr a day if im lucky to devote to working on my sabers. i have 5 now so its tough to pick with one i devote my time to. but i really WANT/HAVE to get this saber done

just an option, on my mr v2 luke i countersunk the 6-32 cap head screw so its really low profile and still easy to tighten with your fingers. all i did for this was to drill for the screw with the holder and emitter ring together and then pulled the ring back off and drilled it out so the head of the screw would pass thru it easily. came out looking like this :

thats with a button head screw, forgot i had swapped out when i went to the p7 in that hilt

You could do this but it would draw as much attention to the hole/area as a thumb screw would.

If you get the same size set screw and thumb screw you can judge what looks better.

I know the V1 shouldn't have a thumb screw and for pics you can just swap out the thumb screw to be more accurate.

I have the thumb screw on this emmiter on another saber and it looks fine.

i have also in the past used this trick and once i had the screw at the right depth in the holder i filled back the hole and sanded/smoothed it so that the hole wasnt visible

well i was working on my mr mace conversion my soldering iorn died. so now i cant finsh my MRFX Mace conversion or puting my White P4 in my sink tube saber or finsh the little work i had left with my Luke V2...

http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/picture.php?albumid=143&pictureid=1888
i used 2 set screws on my luke the top one is the main set screw and the 2nd is really only there to stop the blade holder from spinging when i tighting down the emiter

i have no set screw showing on my luke V2 and im verry happy with it. unscrewing the emiter to get to the blade holder is not a pain at all. i leave the blade plug in this saber alot so i can walk around with it.

Just a suggestion: If you're going to make this a V1/V2 hybrid, you may want to consider painting the side rails of the control box black to match the black neck. (this would make a SICK Dark Luke v1)...you can also wire a white flashing LED in the control box to make the arrows appear to be flashing, too 8-)

Again, just a suggestion.

that is a some very nice work you have done their, i have always like the flange emitter,

also my apologies for asking this on this page but i could not find any other way of contacting you., i needed to ask but i guess it has already been answered, does the Australian customs allow for parts from this site to come through?

again great sabers and i look forward to seeing any more you make in the future.
