US 2.0 battery drain question

First, I have a US 2.0 board supported by a set of 2 Trustfires. My question is two fold; will the trustfires slowly drain if left in the battery chassis and if so, can I prevent this without installing a kill switch? (I was thinking that if I slide a thin piece of plastic in between one of the connection points, this might work).

1: yes it will drain the batteries.
2: anything that will interrupt the flow of energy will in essence disconnect the batteries from the circuit.
