View Full Version : quick question- how to know which resistor to use?

just to get this straight- say i wanted a blue lux 3 LED- i would go with this resistor:

and 4 AA batteries?

How does the chart not give you exactly what you need to buy?

You cross reference BLUE LUX III and 6volts (or whatever volts you are using)

Sorry, but this forum will not spoon feed you simple answers that can be easily found.

but am i right with the right resistor and the right batteries- double and triple a batteries have 1.5v's right?

Yes, AA and AAA are 1.5 volts each.

The Lux 3 Blue needs at least 3.9 volts to run well so the resistor keeps it from frying when you go above that voltage.
