So i am planning on building my first saber gonna do a MHS, but my question what do you guys think is a good lenth range for a two handed grip single bladed saber?

I have one potential design thats 12' if i added more would you guys think its two big?

And just to add I dont have big hands medium sized i guess.

And sry if this is a totaly stupid question never made a saber before and wanna makesure i get the right stuff.

Thx

I think you probably mean 12" and that is fine, infact that is the average 'normal' size for a saber

12inches would work great. you could even do 11 and be fine. can't wait to see your design, bro.

As already stated, 12" is an average length. My personal one is 12.7", and i have small hands, so using MHS parts u'd be fine...

My sabers usually end up being 11 inches, which is fine for a girl, even though I have big hands for a female.

Nice design.

Just curious. Are you ever going to consider having sound in your saber?

Nice design, not seen that emitter & choke combo before....

There's plenty of room for sound in there, should you decide to put a board in there.

I'm not saying he won't be able to get sound in, that said sound wont go into the choke section so unless he gets hold of a Board speaker combo which seem to be very much out of stock, he'll find it awqward to get in with a fx board or hasbro and regular 4 AAA spearker combo. Esp considering the amount of room a switch seems to take up.

Your Covertec knob is upside down in your render, but you'll figure it out once you actually have your parts in hand. It's pretty obvious the way it goes onto the hilt. ;)

I personally wouldnt recommnd putting sound in your saber QUITE yet, until you have gotten the basics of solering(if you havent already). And also, maybe a quick disconnect for the LED incase you wanted to change it out later. The ones tim sells are here. http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Quick-connector-P38.aspx

Yeah not planning on putting sound in atm. Just wanna Figure the basics out first then add on. Once i am better at soldering and everything.
