LDM's Saber Summit 2009 Review

I'm Baaaaack! Where shall I begin??? How about at the beginning! First off the Prius I drove got 40mpg on the trip...wait that was not a Prius, it was a Corvette! So how in the heck do you all think this thing went? One word...AWESOME! The following impressions are by no means all inclusive, but they should give an idea of how I viewed the Summit. First of all, I will list who was there. YODA, VADER, Caine Drathul and Bin-Adam form Fx-Sabers, Alex and his wife form Ultrasabers, Eandori from TCSS, The Judge and Mrs. The Judge, LDM, Bane/Jango/Merovigian/Roy's Blues, Novastar, Spider Jerusalem, Gravy, Gundamaniac and Erv' from JSSDC (and Here too;)). Oh yeah, my wife was also there as were a few saber groupie chicks from a wedding in the same Hotel. Everyone was from varied backgrounds and there was a complete range of personalities, races, religions, socio-economic backgrounds, educational experience and appearances. My greatest anticipation of this event was to meet such a varied group. I was not disappointed and everyone was WONDERFUL. I have never met any of these people in person until the summit, yet I was treated like a brother and was included to the Nth degree. I feel as though I made a number of lifelong friends there and will not soon forget the experience. As many of you know, the last year has been a very tumultuous time for me and my wife, but this trip was cathartic for us. Everything from Gravy in his Biker attire to the amazingly unique and fascinating YODA, form the True Humanitarian in Erv' to the wonderfully refreshing and complex VADER, from the wacky and wonderful Novastar to the genuinely wonderful Judge family, from the really cool Eandori to the wide-eyed wonder of the local guys, from the calm exuberance and friendliness of Ultra to the blatant big heart of Gravy, I was blessed to be in such company. Thank you to all of you and I hope to see you all again as well as those who were not able to attend at Saber Summit 2 at the XXX XXXXXXX Resort some time in 2010. ;D

I was/am, at least.

I foresee the next Saber Summit being even bigger.
