@All -- Thanks for all the nice comments!

@cardcollector -- The copper colored pieces, emitter and body, are all PVC couplers.

And how did you remove the center stop on the PVC couplers?

And how did you remove the center stop on the PVC couplers?

It simple really, you just take a dremel or sandpaper and sand it away till its smooth

Actually, I did not remove the stops. I have 2" long PVC tube sections I glued at each coupler joint on the body. I could have sanded them down but this was easier. :D

The choke is made from electrical conduit since its smaller inside diameter fits the blade better as a "blade holder". The body uses the white plumbing PVC tubing (those 2" sections between the couplers) so I can fit the sound card and 4xAAA battery pack. I outlined a similar technique here with another saber I built : http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?p=139210#post139210

The emitter on this one is 2 pieces, the "inside tube" and a coupler that was cut down and angled.

Oh... Nice!
I've only used PVCe electrical conduit on my sabers. The inside diameter on that is small enough that using it for anything more than a Lux I direct drive would be pointless.
And, I found that the connection was poor enough that the saber was 'wiggly'.

I tighten up any wiggly blade play with a bit of clear packing tape on the last 2 inches of the blade that enter the saber - combined with the blade retention screw it sits nice and tight.

For the rest of the saber, depending on the amount of couplers you use - some PVC glue is necessary to add stiffness to the structural integrity.

looks real nice! The amber LED color goes well with the hilt color.
