Hey everyone,
Here is an update on my latest creation, RENATUS, meaning "rebirth". This is a recycle of my first MHS saber, Arbiter as seen here:

Nice work.:D

Does the fan help bring the sound up through the chamber, or ?

Uh... well strangely enough the fan kinda dies down when the saber is on, so it's actually not quite as effective as you would think. I think it might need a power extender or something...

So the answer is no, it doesn't really do anything to the sound. The speaker actually is oriented normally, so sound comes out the pommel around the anti-vandal switch.

Thanks for all the comments guys!
I still plan on powder coating the shroud in wet black, but I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

wow that P7 is CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha man i need to try that! im actually workin on a liquid cooling cooling system. one of many ideas i have been workin on 3DS max. its a small pouch of water (about an ounce) and you press a ruber button and it cycle water through small ruber hoses areound the heatsink at back to the pouches. the only problem is keeping the water cool... like i said its in design but cannibal maybe you should try and come up with something like that...

LOL... computer cooling technology strikes again!
Hmm... liquid cooling. It would prob. only be used for P7's or LEDengin?? Starting to get into dangerous territory here guys - seriously I mean, you've got a lot of curent running through the circuits here already and the potential is even worse. You start getting into liquid cooling then you have to throw in some sort of water pump and tubing (although the florescent tubing and liquid they have nowadays would make for a pretty cool effect if you used for instance UV LEDs - blacklight effect)... It's an idea though.

Maybe something sort of like a tube with a ball bearing in it and one way valves at each end of the tube? When you swing the saber around, the ball bearing acts as a pump and forces the fluid in one direction only? Definitely coursing into computer chip cooling territory.

I'm curious as to the overall runtime with the fan working?
