Here's a fun little troop we did about 3 weeks ago, hope you enjoy.
On the cool, and clear morning of June 12th 2009, the 501st Legion's Midwest Garrison descended on the television Studio of WGN, 2501 West Bradley Place in Chicago, Illinois, in support of the fan based Documentary "The Force Among us" and a one night only engagement at the Siskel film Center (http://www.theforceamongus.com/) accompanied by a few of the personalities featured in the film, and Director /producer Christ Macht

WGN's Larry Potash warns of The Empire's arrival at WGN studios, to do battle in the WGN game show "Know Your StarWars".

Imperial Forces have landed at WGN studios, and they've infiltrated the weather segment.

Imperial forces finally infiltrated the inner sanctum, the Television's studio itself.
Live, on the air, we did battle WGN's own Robin Baumgarten, and Paul Konrad, but lost miserably due to the host slighting us for his own, and Chris calling out the last answer, which was wrong.....

2007, Cristian Macht and Cortney Macht, USA, 85 min.
On the eve of the Film Center’s tribute to George Lucas, the Chicago-based brother-and-sister filmmaking team of Cristian and Cortney Macht take us deep inside the world of STAR WARS fandom. Sociology profs ponder the phenomenon, Joseph Campbell is name-checked, Christian parallels are explored, the 501st Legion of costumed stormtroopers converges at a convention, and the Machts follow fans on pilgrimages to the original movie locations in Tunisia and Norway. Along the way, they discover that STAR WARS fans are a varied and unstereotyped lot about whom no blanket generalizations can be drawn--except, perhaps, a universal dislike for Jar Jar Binks. There to show our support for Chris Macht's Film "The Force Among Us"
as we arrived, Chris was nowhere to be found, and we ended up suiting up in the general Lobby/rest area of the small movie house.
Later the little airhead behind the glass said we can store our tubs on the third floor, yes we also could have gotten suited up there too. :?
Lucky I brought an assistant to handle this. :twisted:
at some point we were told we would only have to pay $14 for parking, One trooper said she paid something like $28.00, and I paid $23 :shock:
BUT -We trooped for hours, posed for pictures with passers by, and had a good time......I'll leave it at that. :wink: 8)
