View Full Version : A list?

I'm new to the custom saber scene, I didn't know here to post this... can I have a list of all custom saber so I can browse through and pick the best, and does any one have any recommendations?

/facepalm

The whole idea of making a "custom saber" for most of us is that:

1.) you are making it.
2.) It is your design.
3.)It is YOURS.
4.)It is UNIQUE.

There's no "list", and nobody is going to take the time to make one, since there are so many combinations of how all the MHS parts can go together.

Go to the MHS Builder and try making some customs for yourself. See what parts YOU like together.

http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/mhsbuilder/

And please do some reading and learn some things about actually building a saber, once you find parts that you like the look of together.

We are here to help people, but we are not here to hold their hand or spoon feed them.

JLo is correct...if you look at all the parts available on the MHS builder you'll see there are literally MILLIONS of possible CUSTOM saber combinations...a list would be impossible to compile and there is no 'best' only what appeals most to you...good luck finding a FAVOURITE configuration to build into a saber that is great for you.

Here is the gallery http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29

There are tons of threads here with pictures of all kinds of sabers in the above link.

I strongly suggest that you read these threads first and then go from there.

The reason everyone is giving you such a hard time is
1. You didn't read much.;)

2. Your question is very vague. If you are wanting insperation for a saber design the gallery has hundreds and hundreds of pictures of Lightsabers.

3. It can't be answered. Everyone has a favorite lightsaber design, style, etc. (I HATE clamp boxes) It is virtually impossible to say "Out of the Thousands of lightsabers that have been made- this one is the best.

Don't take it personally, just read and gather knowlege, Welcome to the club!;)

Well, that wasn't in the question dude!!!!!!!

Kindly make yourself clear in future,
If you'd said you wanted a build, we may have assisted a little bit more....

There are plenty of sabersmiths on here that could probably build it for you.
However, since you're now asking for someone to build your saber for you, you're soliciting on a forum attached to a shop, which is a BIG NO-NO!!!!

Here's the thing, the whole point of these forums (attached to a store) is to help give advice for people who are assembling their sabers. There is a TON of information on here. A better thing to do would have been to read around, and then post a thread on your design. You'd then get some feedback on it.
Why is it that you need someone to make it? Is it not possible to create with the parts sold in the store?
The community is being mature, the problem is that we often get users coming on here, knowing absolutely nothing beforehand, having read no threads, and asking questions that have been answered already.

Perhaps you could outline the problem with why you cannot assemble it yourself. You could also search about it.

THis is a DIY site attached to a store. everything you need to know to make your own saber can be found here. soliciting for products or services are not allowed here. if you want a custom built for you youll have to look on another forum or site. but you would ahve known this had you read. seriously you can easily build a lightsaber from instructions found here. a custom build from a sabersmith is going to run you ALOT more than building it yourself. and sorry the level of maturity didnt reach your expectations. but you are on a site dedicated to making fantasy weapons from a sci-fi movie. and this is a DIY hobby site where the members take the hobby kinda seriously, therefore when a newb comes here asking questions like the one you did, and obviously hasnt read a single thing, they tend to get a little flamed

Dude, you stepped in a large pile by not making yourself clear.

If you want a saber built from MHS parts, send an email to TCSS and ask for what you want, Strydur will forward you to the appropriate place. (believe me when I tell you, this IS a very helpful post);)

OK first off soliciting parts or services from anyone other than the owner/operaters of this site AKA TCSS is strictly prohibited here, if YOU were mature enough to read the stickies and rules for posting you'd know that and not have been flamed for it.

Secondly most of us are really tired of people asking us "how I make saber?" without even bothering to look for themselves at the huge backlog of information posted here. It comes off as really lazy, which is exactly what your orriginal request was, if you want it that bad do it yourself, why are WE immature for expecting you to do your own research?

LOL! Thanks for the lesson, pa! We youngins will sure watch our p's and q's now that a grown-up feller like yourself is here to give us what for about what we say.

Your attitude stinks, and you are in NO position to lecture anyone here about maturity. If you are looking for hand-holding and someone to drag information out of you, please go someplace else. However, if you can drop the false bravado and adopt a bit of humility, the membership here can help to point you in the right direction.

As pointed out, soliciting is forbidden on these forums, as they are attached to The Custom Saber Shop, a business entity. A Google search can turn up many links to custom saber builders who can help you get made what you're looking for.

A Google search can turn up many links to custom saber builders who can help you get made what you're looking for.

A quick google search can also point you in the right direction of the nearest finishing school for girls. I suggest you head there, get some manners & a maturity transplant, THEN come back here & READ before you got off the rails at people that are bored of answering the same question over and over!!!!!!!

The folks that have answered this have around 30 years combined experience building sabers, you'd think we'd know what we're talking about, so don't start shrieking like a banshee coz you asked a totally different question to the one you wanted answered.

Is there a way we can have this topic changed to a 'blooded head on a post at the front gate' by one of the Mods?

Keep it civil people.

Talonclaw, Jonitus's and LDM's advice is sound. There ar eplenty of people who can get your saber made, including Tim. However, we can't turn you to anyone but Tim here since it is his forum.

You should be able to fit a US 2.1, a white P4, 2 anti-vandal switches and 8 accent LEDs in there very easily. LOL

Would be one very short lived lightsaber. You'd barely have any room for the batteries, it would have to be direct drive and switch in the pommel.
Good luck with it! :p

That would be cool to have a tiny saber like that. You could use an accent LED for the main LED (since it will be a very short blade) and power it with a CR2032 battery.

Who is going to make it?
