Heres my latest creation. Its a maris brood set of tonfas. The main body and the tonfa handles are cnc machined. The switches are on the ends of the tonfa handles. It has lux III leds, and vented pomells for sound, though I didnt add boards yet. US 2.1s would sure be nice though, hint hint tim :P

The hilts are 15 overall length.

They have 21in blades with 18 visible.

good work..

IMHO though,, using the adapters that Tim sells would make it look more refined/finished instead of the flat end of the grip meeting the hilt/body..

They'd probably be stronger with the adapters, too.

Sadly those adapters will only help "left" and "right" support for the tonfa handle. "Front" to "back" would be unchanged... and unfortunately that is where most of the stress will be when sparring.

it would be more of secure fit, helping disperse the 'stress'.. wouldnt it..

as it stands..there is NO support to help displace any of the force. it would also 'look' more 'refined/complete' if he made something similar..

It would look better and help with side-to-side force. It would not help at all with absolute front to back stress. However, once the stress is applied even a hair from absolute front to back, Tim's adapter would start helping and the more the direction of stress moves to the sides, the more Tim's adapter helps. As such, it's better than not having one... but there are stronger alternatives my young padawan. However I won't get into that (again) on the TCSS forums. Bad form and all that.
