Hi guys,

My niece wanted a better Ahsoka Tano lightsaber than the one she had. So over the weekend we worked on converting the Rubies she had over to parts for a MR Construction Kit. This is what we came up with. I had to slip a couple of O-rings under the top tube so that it fit snug and some electrical tape around the pommel, but that was all it took to get everything to fit.

Nice conversion. It is so cool to make and convert sabers for kids. They really appreciate them and I love to see their face when they first turn it on. Great job.

When I say my niece wanted to do it, what I really should have said was, "Hey I bet I can take your lightsaber that doesn't do anything but light up and make it into something REALLY cool! Do you mind???" ;)

Yeah, I've had that name since AOL would only let you use 10 characters for a screen name. It's stuck with me ever since. I've used it for eBay, ASAP, and many other forums.

Nice Conversion.

I don't get the username, though.
Last OverDosed Jedi? Huh?
;)

Way back when, AOL had a 10 character limit (actually MSDOS did), so I couldn't use the name LastOfTheJedi. The best I could do was shorten it to LastODJedi. Get it now???

Ok, I did some finishing on the saber this weekend. I turned the top half 90' to match the actual prop. I then put the rest of the "stripe" along each side and added the big button towards the pommel. All in all I think it turned out really cool! And I have now attained "Best Uncle Ever" status! :)
