hey everybody! I have built a couple sabers in the past but nothing to brag about ( didnt even have a light up blade...just a hilt lol) but i recently purchased a yoda force fx and it rekindled my excitement for the hobby. I stumbled upon this site and im really excited to begin making sabers again only this time with light and sound!

That looks good but turn on the thread hints and you will see that you put two females together.

you are right except i put a male to male adapter between them...its underneath the grips but its there...so i shouldnt have any problems right?

ok cool!....what are your thoughts on fitting all of the electronics in that hilt...do you think that choke will mess up my chances of getting a lux III set-up in there?

A lux III with no sound will fit in that hilt with a breeze! The battery pack can go in the 4" and the switch can be mounted on the 3".

ok awesome!...now i just have to wait for my paycheck lol....so do you know about how long it will take to get the parts after they are ordered?...when you order a MHS do they have to make the pieces to order? or will they send them out right away?...just curious

Well if everything is in stock, they will have already been made, and will ship in about a day. My order took about 1 week to get to me.

Great design. Most of my orders get to me with in a week, usually about 3 days.

should point out, your covertec clip is in a bad spot, where you have it is on the threads which isn't good.

Also, those rubber o-rings, if you wanted them put into grooves, you'd have to move them further down the hilt as you can't cut grooves into the thread. If you're just putting them on there without the grooves, that's fine!

Also, a good design with plenty of space for full electronics, should you decide to max it out.

Bar the Covertec placement & possible o-ring issue, it's all good!

thanks for all of the input guys!....to adress the covertec issue, where would be a better place? could it possible fit between the grips?

If the grips are spread apart enough, yes.

Because i want the covertec to be usable and not bogged down by grips, I think i will switch to the the fluted 4" piece for the bottom portion...then i can just put the covertec on and still have a cool looking grip section without having the grips protruding from the hilt.

check out the new picture design and let me know what you guys think...i think it will be cool but the covertec between the grooves may still be an issue

Nope, that'll be fine.

after watching some youtube videos on sabers with sound FX i decided i really want them haha.....any chance i can fit a soundboard in my design? or is that just way out of the question because i have the choke in the center

I don't see why not... Soundboards aren't that big.
