When I found out that JQ sabers were making a qui saber I had to have one to go along with my Obi and maul sabers. Then when Daren offered me the prototype I couldn't pass that up. I got it on Monday but I've been a bit busy to post any pics until now. This sabers is excellent, it looks good and sounds amazing. Then when compared to a MR LE saber its pretty much spot on.

It has a lux 3 driven by a MR yoda sound board with a premium speaker.

The emitter plug didn't come with the saber, its one I made.

I'll probably upgrade the led to a green Seoul P4 at some point but its fine just now. I'd also like to upgrade the sound board but I don't have the cash and theres no CF's or US boards available just now. Hopefully I'll have some cash when more boards come out.

Your probably wondering why it has two buttons when it only has a MR sound board, well the button closest to the emitter activates the saber while the second button is wired to the clash sensor and sets off the clash sound when pressed. It still makes the clash sound upon impact but the button is just nice little touch.

Well I hope you like it, I know I do.

WOW that is fantastic looking!

How much was it with MR sound and LuxIII and do they offer a LuxV option, perhaps as a stunt, or a kit version for adding your own sound solution?

Agreed, that looks awesome. I really like the emitter plug, makes the end look like a big vandal switch. :p

nice, how'd you make the plug if I may ask? I've been wanting to make a couple just like that, I figured I'd use the aluminum disks from the store and a bit of sawed off thick wall Polycarbonate, but I haven't figured a way to attach the aluminum that would look that clean...

He used a chunk of metal pipe and put it in the freezer overnight so it could contract. Then in the morining he put it in the polyc nub, later he sanded the outside of the nub so it would slid in and out easily.

Too bad it's a Lux III, eh?

Awesome saber.
Qui-gon's hilt has always been one of my favorites.

Dude, nothing is wrong with a Lux III!;)

And DJ, a cree is not any brighter than a LuxIII, at least to the eye, if driven equally. Relative brightness just depends upon how they are driven!
