I was recently thinking about different ways to display a lot of lightsabers on a relativly small space on a wall and cam up with this...
http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/picture.php?albumid=62&pictureid=796

I was thinking it wound be made of wood then painted. Kinda like a cue sick rack you use in pool. The only problem I see would be making sure the saber would not fall off. I was thinking I'd drill in a hole in the upper piece so the blade could slide in and out...

What are some other ways you guys can think of?

I've got a broom/mop rack hanging up on my wall for the very use you suggested. It's metal and has metal spring clips that close very securely around 1" or even 3/4 blades and display the sabers vertically. I'm pretty sure I bought the rack at Ace Hardware, but I'm sure you could find something similar someplace else.

A pool Cue rack works pretty good also.

I am planning on making something like this one. If you have enough of a slope the sabers will stay in the rack. I have also seem many horizontal sword racks too, but i need a vertical one that will set on the floor.

That is a nice Idea Rhyen.
You would need a band or sroll saw to make one though...

I think my dad has most of the tools I would need. I just need to figure out how to make it. I don't think it will be too hard to make.

You could try something like this to. I got a book shelf at wal mart for about $30 and it has shelves on the bottom to put some other star wars stuff on as well. Only problem now is the collection is getting too big and I need another one.

Here is mine. It's a little shelf from Home Depot. The top part is a thin piece of wood with dowel rods on it. Fishing line is strung through the ends of the dowels to hold the sabers in. All home made, and it works great.

This is a super old picture, from 2006, but it gets the point across :p

Hey guys, yeah, its a ressurection (kinda) but...

I figured out a new way to display sabers it you don't want to hang it on the wall OR spend $20 for a stand.

What if you used coat hangars like these... (using the middle one)
http://www.stacksandstacks.com/wall-mount-hooks-satin-nickel?id=176&sku=35198&utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_source=googlebase
and just mounted it to a 2x4. then laid it flat insted of on the wall???

I think that it would work pretty well.

That could do, though I still prefer my glass cabinet. Will eventually light it up, maybe illuminate some of the crystals I have in there too one day...
